WEEK TWO!!!
What's up everybody!! I hope you are all doing so amazing! This week has been crazy so I'm excited to tell you all about it!
I made it to the Provo MTC!!! I'm the first kid to go to the Provo MTC so it was new to me and my family! It was a hard goodbye but I was lucky enough to have my P day two days later so I get to call my family today!!
The MTC has been so amazing! Meeting my district was so fun and my companion is even more amazing in person than over zoom! We are busy pretty much all day and I love it! We get up in the morning and immediately go work out which includes volleyball, basketball, and running around the track! The first night all the sisters in our district decided to do face masks and while we were in the middle of it our STLs showed up at the door to our apartment! It was super funny and we got a pretty funny picture which will be down below!
On Thursday we got to meet our branch president and his wife along with his counselors and their wives! They are super nice and funny! As companionships we got to meet with them and talk about our goals for the mission and how we were doing so far! Also at the end of our meeting they called the district leaders and assigned companionships to help teach the lesson on Sunday and me and sister Babcock got lucky enough to be called on! I'm actually super excited and plus it's only like five minutes so not too bad!
Today we got to go to the temple as a district which was super fun and our MTC teacher Brother Nakano also came with us which was super hype! I love the temple so much! It brings so much joy and peace and the spirit is always so strong!
This week as a district we chose a scripture for all of us to remember and study and we chose Ether 12:27 which says, "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." This is such a great reminder not only for missionaries but for everyone! We can often feel like we are not good enough or that our efforts aren't enough but as long as we have faith God will make up the rest so that we can accomplish the things that He has asked us to do! I know God loves all of us and that we can rely on him and he will always help us!
I love you all and I hope you all have an amazing week!!
