Week 7!! (March 13, 2023)
Welcome back everyone! We had MAD MIRACLES THIS WEEK!!! But let's start with a really random thing... Sister Carter made a four layer cake this week, we were gonna take it to DCM but then half our district got sick so then we ended up keeping it so now there is a four layer cake sitting in our apartment, so if anyone wants it let us know....
We met a ton of people this week and found a ton of new part member families that we could possibly start working with! I'm so excited!
My favorite part of this week was our biggest miracle that I have seen so far!!! We had service with a part member family this week and right after we had dinner with them which was awesome! Right before we got to their house for service, the husband, who is the member, texted us saying he got called into work and so we would just be cleaning with the wife (the non member). This does not happen very often apparently but anyways we get to their house and start cleaning, the wife is talking with us and we are getting to know her and out of now where she asks, " So what do I need to do to get baptized" we were like WHAT!!! We are not used to getting asked that at all and we were so excited because she had a bunch of questions and she was just asking them and nodding and agreeing with our answers it was so cool! The funny thing she said at the end of the night was, "sisters I'm basically giving you a free baptism" it was so awesome and she is so excited! She has a lot of stuff to learn but we can tell she really wants it and she wants to make a change in her life which is AMAZING!!!
I LOVE THE WALTERBORO BRANCH!! These members are quite easily some of the funniest people I have met!! One of our members came up to us yesterday at church and said, "yall coming over for dinner tonight? I'm making feral pig." We just laughed because we thought he was joking but nope he was dead serious. Once we realized that we quickly said we would try and make it. Now we did not make it because we had a busy day with lessons (not gonna lie I'm grateful that I did not have to have feral pig) but they are so so kind and loving. I am so grateful for this opportunity that I have to be serving in this area and all of these people!!
Spiritual thought:
On Sunday we were asked something along the lines of what we have learned and how the mission has changed us! Now I haven't been out for very long but the biggest difference I have seen is how more easily it has become to love those around me even though I have just met them! (I think that was good english idk) anyways this is exactly what Christ did. He went around ministering to everyone no matter who they were! As we study and grow closer to Christ, it becomes easier to see people through his eyes and I still have a long way to go but I have already seen such a huge change and I can't wait to see how much farther I go! Anything is possible through Christ!!!
I love yall so much!!!
Also if you have sent me an email I'm so sorry if I haven't answered yet, I've been a bit busy on p-days these last few weeks but I promise I will answer and I appreciate them so much!!!
Love, Sister Jolley:)
