Week 8!! (Insert creative title here)

Welcome back once again! Hopefully yall aren't bored already because I have a lot to say today!!!

So First off I got bashed for the first time this week. It was funny because I didn't even realize we were being bashed until he started asking some crazy deep doctrine stuff and I had no idea what even to say. Sister Carter did so good though, she knew all the answers to his questions and reexplained some stuff to him that he had been misinformed about! Funnily enough they invited us to stay for dinner which was SUPA good so downside we got bashed but upside we got some fire food after and they even gave us leftovers!

A super fun miracle for the week is with our PMF family, the Hunts! They have a son who is 9 but he hasn't been baptized yet and so we had our first lesson with them two weeks ago and got permission to help him get ready to be baptized!!! This family is an inactive family and they moved here in October and have not been to church once but then this Sunday they came!!!! It was so amazing and even their inactive parents came with then as well!!! It was so cool! Sunday was a bit stressful though because two minutes before second hour the branch president asked me and Sister Carter to teach the youth Sunday school class.... it was scary but it ended up being a super spiritually lead lesson and I'm so grateful that we got to teach them!!!

Last but not least crazy thing was we ended up having dinner with some members on Sunday and last week we were able to get out of it but this week we were not so for dinner we got feral pig... it was wack and I don't ever wanna eat it again but I'm just glad that the members love us enough to invite us two weeks in a row to their house for dinner! The branch is seriously the best!!!!

Quotes of the week- (with zero context)

"You don't know how many friend requests I've got from people who are already passed on to the other side!!!" -Sister Black

"Satan didn't just go up and offer Jesus a reesees(pronounced exactly as it is written)" -Brother Beach

"But happy are we... FETCH!!!" - Sister Carter

Spiritual thought:
Our district has what we call a district vision and this month it is what would Jesus do? And basically what we do is every week there is two new christlike attributes that we work on for that week and try to develop and recognize when our companion is doing that attribute. This upcoming week one of the attributes is obediance!!! My district leader and his companion sent us a conference talk abiut obedience. "Obediance brings blessings" by President Thomas s. Monson! This talk is so fire and I recommend all of you go read it!!!

My biggest take away from this talk is how obedience is how we learn in this life and the commandments and standards we have are there to guide us and keep us safe!! And it is so important to trust in God and have faith that they are there for a reason even if we can't see the end goal now!! Out here on the mission there are a lot of "rules" and it can be a bit overwhelming trying to remember all of them and following them but I have seen so many miracles and blessings that come from being obedient to them!! I know that yall can have these same blessings! Our district leader invited all of us in the district to pray this week and ask heavenly father what we can do to be more obedient and I want to extend this invitation to all of you! I know God will give you an answer and that if you follow the spirit and do your best to improve that you will see blessings and the spirit will be noticeable in your life!!!

I love yall with all my heart and I hope yall have the best week ever!!!! GOD LOVES YOU SO MUCH!!!

Love, Sister Jolley:)
