Don's McFlurries🍦 (May 22, 2023)

This week, we had a pretty normal week! On p day, Sister Wilson and I went to Charleston, and we found the notebook house! Unfortunately it's on private property so we couldn't get a good picture but it was so lit! We also went downtown and went to the pier and walked through the streets looking at all the houses! There is so much history here it is insane! We had our first DCM with the new district, and it was fun to meet new people and to say hi to the ones who were already here! It's gonna be a fun transfer!

Highlights from the week!
-Serenity and Jack have decided to be baptized! They are the sweetest and most energetic kids! They were so excited for baptism that they wanted to get baptized right then haha it was super sweet!
- We went to McDonald's three days in a row to try and get Mcflurries and all three days their ice cream machine was broken and it was the same worker all three times haha we all got a good laugh about it!
- Courtney is literally the best!! She told us about how she has been sharing the lessons with her sister and her nieces! She even texted us right before church and said she is bringing her nieces to church with her! Her growth and change has been amazing! We are so so excited for her!! And Tyler is just waiting in anticipation for his baptism day! He keeps telling us he just wants to get baptized right now! He is legendary!
- Cori is always just so awesome! We had some good lessons this week! On Saturday we had dinner with them and Josh challenged us to a game of PIG. It was so fun (even though we got absolutely destroyed) they also fed us Frogmore soup, it was SO GOOD! Like I was scared but it was delicious!

Please keep Cori, Courtney and Tyler in your prayers this week as they prepare this week to be baptized on Saturday!

We got to talk about the Book of Mormon A TON this week and a favorite scripture that my comp shared a lot and that stuck out to me was Alma 34:41, "But that ye have patience, and bear with those afflictions, with a firm hope that ye shall one day rest from all your afflictions." This scripture is an amazing reminder to me and it brings me so much hope that the trials and the hardships that we go through in this life are not a permanent thing and it reminded me to always have an eternal perspective!

I'm so grateful for all of you who read my emails (or just look at the pictures haha) but I hope you all know I love yall so much and God loves you even more!

Love, Sister Jolley:)
