Green No More 💚 (May 15, 2023)

Welcome back to the weekly vlog. This week, we had transfers, and I'm staying in Walterboro!! Sadly, I had to say goodbye to Sister Carter because she is now in Savannah, Georgia, but she is an STL now, which is awesome! I'm definitely gonna miss her! She was an amazing trainer, and she helped me so much! My new companion is Sister Wilson!! She is awesome! We came out to South Carolina at the same time, so we are both just out of training! So we are both a little nervous but super excited! Also, we somehow were in the same ward up at utah State, and we lived in the same apartment complex! How we didn't know each other is beyond me, haha! We are so excited to work and to be serving in the Walterboro branch!!

At transfers, we had some sad goodbyes, but we also got to see a bunch of fellow missionaries that we hadn't seen in a little bit! First, I got to see Sister Babcock!!! I missed her so much!! We also got to see Elder Perkins and Elder Knowlton and Sister Myers from our district from my first transfer here! It was awesome to see them! And I got to see a friend from high school! Shout out to Elder Wright, you're gonna be an amazing missionary!!

Sister Wilson and I had a little bit of a stressful two days trying to figure out everything for Eli's baptism but it all payed off in the end because ELI GOT BAPTIZED!!!! WOOOOO!!!! We are so so proud of him and the hardwork he has put in! He always listened so well in our lessons and he had a true desire to be baptized and he seemed very very happy after he went under the water!! It has been amazing to see the effect of him choosing to be baptized as his parents and siblings and grandparents all started coming back to church! It was well worth the stress! :)

This week I decided for the month of May to read all the conference talks that had been given in this last general conference. One of the talks I read this week was "Safely Gathered Home," given by Elder Quentin L. Cook and I loved the overall emphasis on bringing ALL God's children home, and he talked a lot about how we can gather them home! He counciled that we all must become Beacon Light Examples in everything we do! We do this by showing kindness, being righteous, showing our happiness, and having sincere love for all people just like Jesus Christ did! I love that each of these things we can all do no matter if we are out serving a full-time mission or if we are just out at the grocery store at home! I know that as we become beacon light examples that not only will we be able to help bring others closer to God and Jesus Christ, but we will bring ourselves closer as well!

I love yall and God loves yall even more!

Love, Sister Jolley:)
