)NO DOOR TO KNOCK ON 🚪 (June 12, 2023)

I can't believe another week has already gone by, it was a quick one!

This last p day we had the chance to wake up super early and go to Edisto Beach to watch the sunrise! It was a drive and a half away but it was so worth it! It was beautiful and we got to put our feet in and it was so warm!! Most of the area I'm in is forests and fields but luckily we have one little part of edisto beach and it was a nice change of scenery! I'm so grateful for God's creations!!
Highlights:
- lots of rain and thunder and lightning. The thunder was so loud, it was kinda scary.
- met our friend Kathy who at first just wanted us to pray with her but after the prayer she let us share a message and was excited for us to come back! Keep Kathy in your prayers!!
- Our friends Dee and Aidan came to church! Dee even participated in relief society! And Aidan said he gave the closing prayer in primary!! They are amazing!
- met a lady this week that thinks she has supernatural abilities and that the government was going to try and assassinate her. It was an interesting conversation to say the least.
- there's this house that we have knocked on a few times the last two weeks and we pulled up to knock on it again and the house was gone..... all that was left was the stairs. So no door to knock on.
-bought some bread for our friend Vanessa, it was lit.

This Sunday me and Sister Wilson were able to give talks during sacrament meeting! And we got asked to talk about missionary work! (Thankfully we know a little bit about it haha) as I was studying to prepare for this talk I came across a talk given by Elder Uchtdorf called "Missionary Work: sharing what is in your heart". In this talk he gives five suggestions for us as members (not necessarily full time missionaries) to do to be able to share the gospel! My favorite one is the very last one: Trust the Lord to work His miracles. Our job isn't to convert, it's to share the what's in our hearts and to be an example of those beliefs to those around us, and then the Holy Ghost will speak to the hearts of the listeners. We must love God and love His children! And my favorite line of his talk, "Believe, Love, Do". Believe that you can recieve missionary experiences, love those that you interact with, and do your best to be an example of Jesus Christ and you will be blessed and more importantly you will bless the lives of those around you!

Love yall so much and God loves you more!

Love, Sister Jolley:)
