Elvis Presley is ALIVE?! (August 14, 2023)

Y'all this week was just full of miracles!!! God is so good!! Let's jump right into the highlights: 

- zone conference week! This was an amazing spirit filled meeting! We received some super hype insights from President Hamblin, his wife and the APs (Which by the way we have Sister APs now, that's super lit) Sis Spiker killed it in her first roleplays as well, she is a legendary teacher already!!

- taught a lesson with the cutest puppy on my lap the whole time because Jacori was afraid of it and didn't want it running around. I was in heaven haha! 

-Our friend Lindsey is now on date for baptism!! She is the cutest!! Sis Spiker gave the invite (her first one!!!) And she killed it! It's so cute because the first person I ever got to put on date was also named Lindsay!! Like mother like daughter I guess haha! 

-Timothy came to church!!!! He was very hesitant at first but after praying about it he decided to come! The ward was amazing and made him feel right at home!! 

- had an awesome lesson with a new friend Ken and he talked about how Elvis is still alive and that he will find out who he actually is this Wednesday so stay tuned...

-had a member meal where the parents talked about every political thing that you could possibly think of... let's just say it was a little awkward. 

We were on our way to a lesson, running a little late, and all of the sudden I had this prompting to knock on this house. I ignored it and told myself it was ok because we needed to get to this lesson on time. Like 3 minutes later the spirit basically slapped me in the face telling me we needed to go back. So I told Sis Spiker and we turned back around. We pulled up and before we could get out of the car a young guy came out and asked us who we were. We told him we were missionaries and that we had felt prompted to knock on this house and to see if there was anything we could do for whoever lived here! He immediatly started crying and told us he had been struggling a lot and was praying so hard yesterday for God to help him. He told us we were the answer to his prayer. SO AWESOME!!! We talked with him for a while and we were able to tell him about our purpose and he wanted us to come back as soon as possible!!! My testimony on the guidance of the Holy Ghost increased so much because of this experience. God truly has a plan and when we follow the promptings he gives us then we are able to help fulfill his plan! We are more able to help those around us and to bring ourselves and those around us closer to our Savior! Follow the promptings you get!!
