It's Fall Now (Oct. 9, 2023)

This week has been filled with miracles! One big one is that it is not a million degrees outside anymore. I actually had to wear a sweatshirt when me and sis spiker went out in the morning, it was nice! Anyways here's the highlights!! - first miracle was that Brenda was baptized on Saturday!!! Wooo!! she is so amazing and she was just glowing! She couldn't stop smiling and after she came up out of the water she just waved at everyone from the font, it was so cute! I am so grateful that I got to be a part of her journey and that I got to see her make her first covenant with our father in heaven!! (Pictures down below!) - a part member family we are working with, The Mccalls, have two sweet girls and they have been wanting to go to the activity days on Wednesday nights but the parents were a little hesitant but this week they finally came! They had so much fun and the parents seemed to be a lot more comfortable!! -exchanges with our STLs! I got to be with Sister Arnett for the day in GV3 while sis spiker left and went to Anderson with Sis Myers! It was so fun! Me and Sis Arnett came out together so it was fun to connect and talk about the last 8 months!! I learned a ton from her!! -dropped a whole box of cookies in the mud right by our apt that we were going to take to some of our friends, rip. -our new friend Brooke is so amazing! We gave her a pamphlet the first time we met her and she read the whole thing multiple times. We came back this week and introduced the Book of Mormon to her and apparently she had used the link on the back of the pamphlet to order her own Book of Mormon! It was so cool! She said she would give that one to her daughter and use the one we gave her! She is amazing! I won't lie, I have been very exhausted and overwhelmed these last few weeks. There has been a lot going on but my testimony of the Book of Mormon has increased so much because of it! Each time I would sit down and read the Book of Mormon these last few weeks whether it was in my personal study or right before bed, it was almost like a weight was lifted off. Everything else around me didn't matter. It brought me the personal peace that I needed! Those feelings of peace, as stated in Galatians 5, are the fruits of the spirit! When we feel those feelings then we can know that what we are reading is true because one of the roles of the spirit is to testify to us of truth. The spirit does this in many ways but one specific way is through those positive feelings. This experience was another witness to me that the Book of Mormon truly is from God and that it has been given to us to help us in this life as we navigate all the craziness! I would invite yall to really pay attention to how you feel as you read the Book of Mormon and to recognize the fruits of the spirit in your life! Love yall and God loves you even more!! Love, Sis Jolley :) Quotes : "I be a profen" -spiker "The church is a Gospital" -brenda "You know how good them hamburgers are." -ricky Pics 📸 1&2- BRENDA!! 🩷🩷 3- Scooby-Doo 4. Bug of the week 5.
