20 years later.... (Jan 8 2024)

1st week of the new year down! Highlights: -MLC this week! It was a pretty good meeting and I learned a ton!! Loved getting to see all the missionaries! Lots of good stuff is happening and I'm super excited! -made the Elders do face masks with us after our planning! Pics down below -walked around target for 3 hours on p day, how? Idk, also sis ray cut my hair, thank goodness she is good at it because I was scared! -Got the sweetest voicemail from a member in our ward, highlight of our day! -took a sick nap -Caroline, a girl in our ward, drove us around all day on Thursday to all our lessons and visits! She is literally the sweetest and she is prepping to head out on her mission to Tuscon, AZ in like 3 weeks!! We are so excited for her!! -ZCM and interviews with President! This week I was reading in my new book, "Finding yourself in the New Testament." By AL Carraway (shoutout the fam for the birthday gift) The very first chapter is all about Mary and her humble circumstance! It talks about how at the time many young Jewish women had dreamed and wondered if they would be the mother of the Messiah but that Mary was likely not one of then because of her "low estate". It goes on to relate this feeling of unworthiness or unfitness to our lives. As I was reading I found some of my favorite lines and pieced them together and I want to share this with you all and remind each of you that you are good enough! You are a child of God and regardless of how others may see you, you are deserving of everything good because you are a child of God!! "But little do we know what we are capable of doing and becoming and what we will blossom and magnify because we are His.... when we feel unfit, unworthy, and fearful, let us see ourselves in Mary.... when we allow God to be God, He shows us who we really are and what is in-store for us!
