Sick week ✌️ (May 6, 2024)
Nothing too crazy happened this week but still such a good week!!
Highlights:
-P day we went to the stake patriarchs house! He lives right on one of the lakes over here so we got to hangout around the lake! We played corn hole, spike ball and fished a little ("fished") it was a pretty epic district p day!
-Met our friend Collin! He definitely thought we were Jehovahs Witness LoL but once we cleared everything up we were able to teach him about the Book of Mormon and he said, "From what yall are saying it seems like I need to read this book." YESSS COLLIN!!! He is so ready for the gospel!
-Relief society volleyball every Tuesday night is always a blast! We get to meet a lot of friends of the ward who aren't members and play volleyball which is a pretty good deal right there haha
-Sis Millie got pretty sick so we had to stay inside for 3 days. Let's just say I got wayyyy ahead in my D&C reading challenge. It was interesting to say the least.
-Our buddy Keyshun came to church again!
Ok I can't remember if I shared this already but this talk is easily one of my new favorites!!
"The heart of the widow." By Elder Haleck
In this talk, Elder Haleck talks about how the two mites of the widow may have seemed like a small, not impactful donation to those watching but to the Savior her gift was of GREAT value because it was everything she had! Others and often times ourselves may lead us to think that what we have given to the Lord is not worth much, especially when we bring comparison into the picture. But in the Savior's eyes our sacrifice is of great worth. It means eveything to Him because it was our everything!
I know that whatever sacrifices we make are worth so much in God's eyes! He recognizes our efforts and will always magnify!
Go read this talk when you have a chance!
I love yall and God loves you even more!!

Quotes:
Not a direct quote but a little girl got up during fast and testimony meeting and told us every goal from last year that she set in her little book that they give to primary kids. One of which was, " to not fall down when I Rollerblade and to love and help my mom love my teacher that we don't really like." It was adorable and hilarious.
