Happy Fathers day🫶🏼 (June 17, 2024)

I feel like I start off all my emails like this but wow what a busy, miracle filled week haha!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD!!! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! THANKS FOR BEING AN AMAZING EXAMPLE TO ME!! Highlights: -LESLIE GOT BAPTIZED THIS LAST MONDAY!!! AHHHH I am so so proud of her! She has some physical challenges and so she got baptized in our ward mission leader's pool! It was probably the most spirit filled baptism of my mission! Love her so much! -Went on my last exchange!! Sister Lemmon from GV3 come here to Anderson with me!! It was so fun!! She is a powerhouse missionary and isn't afraid to teach and testify! She is fr amazing!! I learned so much from her! -Me and Sister Stoeber did some service and helped shake a plum tree and catch all the plums that fell off. The plums weren't the only things falling out of the trees.... these small beatles also came with it, and it was a bit terrifying not gonna lie. -Sharlie had her temple recommend interview and she's getting ready to go do baptisms on July 6th 🥹 -its finally getting hot and humid here... pray for us.... we woke up and it said it was 80 degrees outside... it was 6:30 in the morning..... It's crazy how fast time goes by and this last week I was thinking a lot about the things I have learned over these months of being a missionary! One thing that I just kept going back to was gratitude. Being grateful for the small, good things in a day. Even if every door closed or all the people you talked to said no, being able to see the good things from that day can change our whole perspective! Bad days become good and good days become amazing! One of my favorite quotes comes from President Nelson from 2016 and he says, "My dear brothers and sisters, the joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives." Focus on the Savior. Focus on what He has done for you and what He continues to do for you. Focus on the tender mercies. Your life and perspective will change. You will find what you are here to find. Joy. True joy.
